Founding Story

Yoga began transforming my life in 2009. After my first 200-hour training in 2015 and eight years teaching across Cranbrook, I had the chance to purchase my own studio, a natural next step. Practice was born from a love of community, and a wish to create a space where everyone is welcomed onto the mat as they are.

Our Vision

A Cranbrook movement community where every body is welcome. We see the studio as a sanctuary. A place where people find themselves, build confidence, make friends, and discover what their practice can become.

Our Mission

To offer inclusive, infrared-heated yoga and movement classes for every level in Cranbrook, BC. Our teachers create a safe, supportive space where you can adapt your practice, grow at your own pace, and feel empowered on your mat.

Meet the Founder

Rhonda

Owner & Lead Teacher

Rhonda began practicing yoga in 2009 and quickly discovered her mat as a place to explore who she really was. The practice transformed her nervous system, body, and every area of her life, and a deep curiosity to learn more led her to complete her first 200-hour teacher training in 2015.

After eight years teaching across Cranbrook, BC, she had the opportunity to purchase her own studio. It felt like a natural next step, and a chance to grow the community she had come to love. Rhonda founded Practice Movement Studio with one clear intention: to create a place where everyone feels welcome, where the mat becomes a sanctuary, and where every level can grow through breath, movement, and community.

Watching members make friends, build confidence, and feel better in their bodies is what keeps her teaching. At Practice, you'll find her holding space with patience, curiosity, and warmth, right where you are.
